The Series Kit Framework
The Series Kit Framework is Mission Creative's model for church series and campaign branding: one idea, expressed in five layers — Core, Screen, Social, Print and Motion — so every file looks like it came from the same place. Use it to brief a designer, or to build the kit yourself.
Mission Creative is a church production and creative company, founded in 2004 by Dave Bookhout and Heredes Ribeiro and based in Tampa, Florida, that builds brands, sermon series and capital campaign creative, video, audio/video/lighting production systems, websites, and AI training and workflows for churches nationwide.
The five layers
| Layer | What's in it | Sizes |
|---|---|---|
| 1. Core | Series mark, color palette, two fonts, one texture or image style | Vector mark + PNG |
| 2. Screen | Title slide, no-text background, point slide, lower third, countdown | 1920×1080 (16:9) |
| 3. Social | Feed post, story, reel cover, square, website banner | 1080×1350, 1080×1920, 1080×1080, 2400×800 |
| 4. Print | Invite card, poster, commitment card, T-shirt | 4×6 in, 11×17 in, per printer |
| 5. Motion | Bumper (30–60 s), 15 s cutdown, animated title | 16:9 and 9:16 |

Rule of thumb: a sermon series needs layers 1, 2, 3 and a 15-second motion piece. A capital campaign needs all five.
The brief
Series / campaign name: Dates (first and last Sunday): Big idea in one sentence: Key scriptures: Who we most want to reach: Tone in three words: Must include (logo, verse, URL): Avoid (clichés, colors, images): Where it will appear (screens, social, print, merch, web): Who edits it after handoff, and in what tool (Canva, PowerPoint, ProPresenter): Deadline for files:
Three tests before you sign off
- Thumbnail test — is the title readable at phone-feed size?
- Volunteer test — can someone on your team make a new slide from the kit in ten minutes?
- Week-three test — does it still feel fresh on the third Sunday?
